Becoming 20!

Hi. Thank you for visiting😊

Last weekend was a kind of “birthday weekend” for me.  My birthday is 18th of June, but unfortunately, this year, I had a really really important IELTS test on the day...  First, when I knew about it, I was so disappointed.  What makes worse, it was my 20th birthday.  The 20th birthday is biggest and most important day for Japanese, because according to Japanese law, people come of age when they are 20 years old.  So, I thought I’m a so unlucky girl in the world...

However, I could met many friends on the day and all of them said “Happy birthday!” to me, so I was happy and didn’t feel as unlucky girl.  In addition, my host family organized a birthday party for me on Sunday.  The day was terrible weather, but except it, it was soooooo lovely and the most interesting day.  My host father made burgers for us and host mother and host sisters and their friends made a birthday cake for me!  I invited some friends and I chatted a lot and played games with them.  I’ve never held my birthday party at Japan, so that I was really excited!!!

I really appreciate to my best friends and my loving family💓

I spent the happiest weekend in my life!

Interesting Differences

  Hi~🌟

Two and half months passed since I came here, Brisbane.  This time, I want to introduce few things what I was interested or surprised at Australia.

First of all, I surprised about the transportation system.  Trains run so slowly, most of stations don’t have ticket gates and there are too many buses.  I think to compare trains in Brisbane with Shinkansen is slightly different but even compared with subways in Japan, they are slowly.  No ticket gates stations also made me surprise.  In Brisbane, only main stations, for example Central station or Roma Street station, have gates.  However, I have never saw non-gates station in Japan, so I thought it is really strange...  Doesn’t it make it possible to people do free ride?

Secondly, the lifestyle is completely difference between Australia and Japan, especially sleep time.  Generally, the time people get up is some in two countries, but the time people go to bed is different.  In Japan, people usually go to bed in 12pm or 1am; not only teenager but also parents do, but people in Australia go to bed in 9 or 10pm.  Long sleep time is good for health, so I think the habit of Australian is very good.

Lastly, the moon which can we see from Australia is really interesting for me.  In here, the moon is full from left side, but in Japan, it full from right side.  I thought the moon full from right side is common sense, so when I found it I really really surprised!

There many different things between Australia and Japan.  I'm interested in finding these differences.
