Studying at AUS

Hello:)

I can’t believe it but already 3 months went by since I came Australia.  Time flies!!!  And it become colder and colder day by day.  It is much colder than I predicted.  Anyway, this time, I want to tell you about studies at here, ICTE-UQ and Australia.

Studying at Australia is really helpful for me.  Of course I use English at class and home, but not only there.  I need to use English when I go shopping, book tours and communicate with non-Japanese friends. Talking with non-Japanese friends is the most useful way for me, because we can share our interesting cultures by using English.  We can know each other and improve our English ability in same time, so I really like to speak with them.  I can find many opportunities to speak English at here easily!

Learning method at ICTE is quite different from Japan’s one.  There are many chances to speak with classmates during the class at here.  We need to share our answers, opinions and discuss about them.  It helps me to improve my speaking ability and critical thinking.  When I had this kind of class at first, I felt it is difficult for me and makes me confused.  The reason is because speaking during the class is not popular in Japan and it is also unfamiliar for me.  However, now, I used to this style and think it is the best way to make an English ability and a logically thinking better.

  1. Hi Kaho

Thanks for your post. I'm glad to hear that you are learning to think more critically and logically. That's a great skill to have at university!

    All the best
